I have been diagnosed to have retinal detachment. Can I wait few days/ weeks to get it corrected ?

No. To get best results from retinal detachment surgery, its important to get it operated as soon as possible( provided
clearance from physician is obtained). Retinal detachment surgery is different from cataract surgery as surgery for cataract can wait and is not an emergency, whereas in retinal detachment the sooner the better.
